An architect in South Wales recently asked Treework to quote to supply and fit our Character Oak flooring in a farmhouse he was renovating.
When John Emery visted site he was struck by how much consideration the architect and his clients were giving to preserving the character of the very old property. John suggested supplying boards wider than the normal specification and using a Van Dyke stain to get the floor looking more like the old panelling that was in the room. This was accepted and the clients were also pleased to know that the English Oak came from woodlands with FSC certification for sustainable management.
The end result was wonderful and both the architect and client wrote expressing their appreciation.
